Fore!  The Vocations Office, with support from the Serra Club of Des Moines, is excited to be offering the newest event bringing together inquiring young men and priests of the Diocese of Des Moines: FAIRWAY FATHERS on Monday, June 16.  Boys in grades 7 thru 12 are encouraged to participate.  This summer also includes summer camps and the ordination of Ken Halbur and George Komo to the transitional diaconate.  Go to http://www.vocationsonline.com/events.cfm for dates, links, and info.

SEMINARIANS

At this time many young men are in the application process for seminary formation with the Diocese of Des Moines; your prayers are especially important right now.  Come next fall we expect that several new seminarians will be with us.  We also have been informed by some of our current seminarians that they have discerned not to return to seminary.  Friends, this is seminary today: a place and time of formation and one of discernment.  We thank those coming and those going for openly considering God’s call.
