There is this three-pronged straightforward principle (listen, judge and act) I use in coaching soccer that I believe can be applied to our lives as Christians and particularly to a young person considering a religious call. As we spend our lives in our daily chores, we should always listen to those spiritual bells/whistles ringing in the deepest point of our hearts. After identifying the nature and the direction of the bells, then we should raise our heads and judge their meaning. Prayers would be the best tool (I would propose) to discern these sirens. Finally, act to the direction of the sound. |
