Guthrie Dolan

I come from a small family on the east side of Des Moines, and I am a member of St. Joseph's Parish.  I graduated from Dowling High School in 2003, and just graduated from college seminary in May 2007.  I am currently in Theology I at the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary near Chicago.  If God's plan takes me to the priesthood, I would be ordained in 2011, the diocesan centenary!

My one piece of advice - no matter what is happening in your life, give absolute trust to God our Father, for having adopted us in Jesus Christ, he says to us also "Behold my beloved", as St. John says "Behold what love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we may be called the children of God - yet so we are!" (1 John 3:1)  If you open your heart to receive the love which God is constantly trying to give you, even when it takes you to the cross with Christ, you will find the greatest possible joy by following where he wants you to go.
